The election of Masonic Lodge Offices is one of the most serious actions done in a Lodge. Although election dates vary between jurisdictions, there are traditional customs and rules that apply to all jurisdictions. Masonic Decorum II tutorial guide includes rules and steps on conducting the election of Officers.
WORSHIPFUL MASTER'S STEWARDSHIP REPORT AND ACCEPTANCE SPEECH:
The age-old custom of Worshipful Masters giving "End-Of-Year" Stewardship Reports and newly elected Master's giving an "Acceptance" speech to the Lodge is done in most jurisdictions as a prudent administrative procedure. Earlier manuals included procedures for formerly accepting these Reports and Speeches into the archives of the Lodge. Later Ritual editions have excluded this procedure, leaving this important Masonic step lost in the darkness. Masonic Decorum II also include a tutorial on proper steps for giving this Report and Speech in the Lodge.
